Remote guide and examples

A remote is a named storage connection created with rclone config. After setup, use it as name:path.

A remote uses remote:path. Local paths work too. Remotes can be source, destination, or both.

3. Performance and filters

Transfers control file transfers. Checkers control checks. Bandwidth can be a single limit or a timetable.

4. Test before scheduling

Keep --dry-run enabled until the output matches your intention. This matters especially for sync.
